Coins of Oceania Countries

Oceania countries include 14 independent countries spread across the Pacific Ocean. Countries such as Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and Samoa shape the region with rich cultures, beaches, and island traditions. In addition, Oceania includes territories and island groups affiliated with larger nations. For example, Guam is part of the United States, while French Polynesia and New Caledonia remain linked to France. Furthermore, the region attracts travelers with coral reefs, tropical weather, and unique wildlife. As a result, Oceania remains one of the World’s most beautiful and diverse regions.

Melanesia

Melanesia is a vibrant island group in the southwest Pacific Ocean. It includes Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, and New Caledonia. The name Melanesia means “black islands” because many native people have dark skin.

Melanesia offers rich culture, clear beaches, and tropical forests. In addition, local communities celebrate music, dance, and family traditions every day. Many people also fish, farm, and trade goods across the islands. Furthermore, tourists visit Melanesia for coral reefs, volcanoes, and warm weather.

The region supports unique wildlife and many native languages. However, climate change and strong storms affect some islands today. Even so, Melanesia remains an important cultural and natural part of Oceania.
