The First Day cover celebrates the 200th Anniversary of Delaware statehood issuing date was on July 4, 1987.  This FDC pays tribute to Delaware as America’s first official state. Richard Sheaff is the designer. Dover, Delaware is the issuing city. The FDC was issued by the Postal Commemorative Society.
