This  South Carolina Statehood 200th Anniversary is celebrated on an FDC 22kt. The First Day cover celebrates the 200th Anniversary of South Carolina statehood issuing date was on May 23, 1988.   This FDC shows legislators voted 149 to 73 to ratified the U.S constitution to make South Carolina the 8th state. Bob Timberlake is the designer. Boston, Massachusetts is the issuing city. The FDC was issued by the Postal Commemorative Society.
